Christy Brown was born in Dublin, where he was diagnosed with a severe case of Cerebral Palsy. His parents were still determined to raise him with the other children.
When Christy hit adolescence a person named Katrina found out about Christy’s story, she began bringing him books and eventually Christy learned to control all of his limbs, except for his left leg, after that he matured into a serious artist.
A few years later he published “My Left Foot” with the help of Dr. Robert Collis, an author.
“My Left Foot” became a sensation. At the age of 49 Brown had married Mary Carr and his health deteriorated, after that he choked at a lamb chop dinner.
