Ray Charles

Ray Charles was born 1930 and died in the year 2004.

Charles is known as a musician and jazz singer. Ray Charles’ disability was that he is blind. Charles sadly got blind when he was six from glaucoma.

His mother did not live to see him graduate. He has won nine Grammy Awards between 1960 and 1966.

Charles used Braille to study and compose music. Charles went to school at St. Augustine in Florida.
