d’Elaine Johnson is an artist. She couldn’t see at all until she was six, now she can see fully with one of her eyes.

She says that she used to cry trying to be in a world full of fully sighted people. She earned degrees in art, and has painted more then six hundred paintings.

She was a teacher, and did it from 1954-1978, at With Disabilities Act. She likes to draw things, things from ancient myths Seattle District School.  Originally d’Elaine Johnson was from Edmonds.

She thinks now, that it actually helped her. It made her more original. She got benefits from Americans. d’Elaine Johnson was glad to be protected from discrimination.
